When the client came to us there was an existing design on the project which was rejected at COA (committee of adjustment).
Adding any new variance to the case could endanger it at OMB (Ontario municipal Board). So we had to reduce or keep whatever was requested and design a totally different and satisfying contemporary house to fit the character of neighborhood as well.
The outcome which gradually is finding its shape in real world, is absolutely satisfying, although the house is not that big but the layout is very unique.
